Starting in June, tourists from 93 countries will be allowed to stay in Thailand for up to 60 days. Previously, only visitors from 57 countries could stay that long. Government spokesperson Chai Wacharonke shared this update.

Additionally, the stay limit for on-arrival visas will double from 30 to 60 days. This change will make it easier for more people to visit Thailand and improve their travel experience.

The new rules also benefit long-term residents and students. International postgraduate students will get an extra year to stay in Thailand after finishing their studies. This gives them more time to look for jobs or continue their education.

For retirees, the government is making it easier to retire in Thailand by reducing insurance requirements. This will attract more retirees to the country, which could boost the local economy.

These changes are designed to increase tourism, support economic growth, and create jobs. By welcoming a wider range of visitors and residents, Thailand hopes to strengthen its economy and prepare for global challenges. This strategy shows Thailand's commitment to becoming a top destination for tourists, students, workers, and retirees.

Additionally, Indian passport holders will benefit from an extension of visa-free entry until November 10, 2024, allowing them to stay for 30 days instead of the previous 15 days.
